Gabriel A. Valbuena grew up between cultures; Between that of Northern Spain, that of Cuba, and also of the fantastical story lands which hide within. His love of lore and world building expose the drama of the human psyche and allow the emotional inner worlds of characters to flow from their minds - just as the white piebaldism streak of hair flows from his forelock. 

 

Having a background in painting and visual arts, Gabriel is a creative director and digital story artist who has worked on feature films, narrative television, documentaries, music videos, as well as feature film marketing campaigns. His work in visual effects and visualization can be seen in Marvel, Apple TV+, Netflix productions, and more.

The projects he has directed have garnered awards for Best Director, Best Drama, Best Documentary, and Audience Choice categories and have screened at Florida Film Festival, San Diego Comic Con, Barcelona ARFF, the Fort Lauderdale Film Festival, and more.

On an off beat, he may be fiddling with his long piano fingers to paint new art pieces, or perhaps hiking and rock climbing around Los Angeles, Skateboarding, or traversing distant kingdoms in Nintendo games. He pays visits to his family in Miami and Spain whenever he can.
